There are many things that I like about attending VO workshops with Domingo Castillo, and one of them is the monthly challenge that’s open to all participants. Each month, he gives the option to record a project — there’s sometimes a theme and we write our own scripts, and other times a script is provided.
For January, the assignment was to read an existing Lexus spot, add music, and keep it to 15 seconds. I found two songs, complete opposites in style and pace, that I really liked. Although I submitted the more upbeat version (above) for inclusion in the final project compilation that Domingo put together, I also created an alternate version with the slower, piano song that I liked.
