Some recent YouTube projects

Happy Almost Spring! It’s the end of February and the weather is starting to warm up here in New Jersey….but March can always surprise us with snow, so I’m not saying goodbye to winter just yet.

I wanted to share some recent projects I’ve put together for my YouTube channel, starting with a trip to the beach a few weeks ago. It was so windy and it was actually snowing, but you can’t see the snowflakes since the wind blew them by the camera so quickly.

Earlier this month, my town had a Lunar New Year Festival at one of the local schools, so I made a video featuring some of the performances at the festival.

There were also two movie trailer projects that I worked on for voiceover coach Domingo Castillo’s monthly challenges. What he does is provide the short script and it’s up to each person participating in the challenge to decide the movie’s genre and tone — and we also have to add the names of two real actors that might be in this movie.

For the first fake movie, called “Providence,” I decided it would be a romantic comedy where two people meet in a park.

The second fake movie was called “Madison Crossing” and I chose to do a kind of mysterious drama on the high seas. Maybe there’s an element of fantasy to it?

For these movie trailers, I found stock videos on Pexels and edited them together using Canva. I also found music and sound effects for the videos that I added to the audio side of things, and of course I did the voiceover in my home studio. I used Canva to put everything together into the videos you see here.

Thanks for checking them out!

As always, if you have a voiceover project that you’d like to discuss, please get in touch!
